ICCA Dubai Industry Internship & Work Experience Placement (IWEP) Program

    ICCA Dubai’s intensive training and extensive network in the Hospitality Industry helps provide Student Chefs with an opportunity to launch their career in the Hospitality & Restaurant Industry as paid interns or professional chefs in Dubai, UAE and the region.

    The Industry Internship & Work Experience Placement Program provides you with valuable exposure and a platform to apply the knowledge & skills gained during the training in an industry-work environment, thereby increasing your chances of further skilled employment and other international career opportunities.

    The establishment of most leading international hotel chains and many of them featuring their luxury brands together with international retail food concepts and specialty restaurants have made the work experience in the Food & Hospitality Industry in the UAE highly recognized and respected for international opportunities, the world over.

    The IWEP is a closely monitored program where the complete learning process together with the aptitude, attitude, knowledge and skill-set demonstrated by the Student Chefs are constantly evaluated on a stringent reporting system for continuous professional development.

    The requirements for eligibility of IWEP are as under –

    1. The Age – 18 to 28 years (Min. age for work permit in the UAE & GCC Countries is 18 years)

    2. Medical Fitness – Must pass a medical examination for Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis (TB), AIDS/HIV, Leprosy and Syphilis

  • General Salary Package Down arrow

    The salary offered ranges between AED 5 – 12 per hour and is paid vide Government of UAE monitored WPS (Wages Protection System), with other additional fringe benefits that may include tips and service charges, etc. The average Net Earnings, as explained above, approx. range between USD 300 to 500 per month or more; the salary package is offered with perquisites such as – accommodation on a sharing basis, duty meals, local conveyance facilities, work permit & residence visa, medical insurance coverage and LTA (Leave Travel Allowance) etc. to the home country included.

    The salary package when valued translates to an actual Gross Earning of approx. USD 750 to 1,100 per month to begin with.

  • Internship Certification Down arrow

    The IWEP Program provides the Student Chefs with an opportunity to launch a career in the Hospitality & Restaurant Industry as paid interns in UAE and the region, along with certifications for further career advancement.
